How Do Illustrations At Your Wedding Work?
Sarah works with a refined blend of templated and bespoke sketching techniques, allowing her to create up to 10–12 live guest portraits per hour during your event.
As guests are welcomed to sit for their illustration, each piece is completed on site and presented as a beautifully finished keepsake. The process is seamless and thoughtfully integrated into the flow of your celebration.
For larger weddings, Sarah can photograph guests during the event and even complete additional illustrations from her studio. Finished portraits are returned with envelopes and backing cards, ready to be gifted or posted — ensuring more guests can enjoy a personalised memento of the day.
For significant guest lists or brand activations, multiple illustrators can be booked to provide wider coverage and maintain the same level of quality and experience throughout the event.
What Happens on the Day?
All preparation is completed in advance, allowing the illustration process to begin seamlessly on the day of your event.
Sarah arrives ahead of the agreed start time to set up and settle into the space before guests arrive. As your celebration unfolds, she begins by photographing guests and then moves directly into sketching — ensuring portraits are created efficiently while maintaining her refined, fashion-led style.
The setup itself is simple. A table and chair are required, along with enough space to work comfortably and, ideally, to display completed illustrations for guests to admire as the collection grows. Alternatively, portraits can be presented or displayed in a way that best suits the styling of your event.
The entire experience is designed to feel effortless, elegant and thoughtfully integrated into the flow of your celebration.
Post wedding portraits
Guests often outnumber the amount that we can sketch during a wedding so Sarah can take photos and continue sketching for you after your wedding or private event from her studio.
Couples can also request groups that they might like sketched such as bride and family, bride and bridesmaids, groom and groomsmen. Also perfect for paper wedding anniversary gift for the bride and groom.
